Student named for a river had to flee one in Iowa City (The Altoona Herald-Mitchellville Index)

Iowa City, Ia. - University of Iowa graduate student Sharavathi Guddehalli Parameswarappa is named after the Sharavathi River that flows west in the Karnataka state of India, where Sharavathi - Sharu for short - was born.
